That is a nice looking hog and I bet you had a blast hog hunting. I don't hunt them much, but we trap them. It is a blast trying to get a mean hog out of a trap and into a trailer so we can go sell it.

DMatRat? How many pigs did you see. Did you see any large boars? Oh yeah did you learn how to field dress your hog?

We seen lot’s and lot’s of pigs everywhere, we even saw a herd of about 20 (sows and piglets).
We see lot’s of boars too, I had two opportunities to shoot nice trophy boars but I fumbled with my gun once (had my scope cranked all the way up and could not quickly find my pig in the field of view) I fired but missed.

The other time we stalked these nice boars to about 150 yards and something spooked them and they ran up this hill faster then you could ever imagine.

This was some wide-open country of rolling hills and oak trees.

We also seen some bull elk, lot’s of deer, coyotes (one of which I killed) and lot’s of hawks.

I brought my non-shooting friend along as my cameraman, and he video taped everything including all of the animals we saw in the field, also stalk/kill of my sow.
We even videoed the skinning/gutting/cleaning of my pig from beginning to end all on caught on tape with August patiently explaining everything.

The best thing about this trip is that I had the time of my life ~ it was so much fun and I gained so much valuable field experience for future hunts.

I can not wait to go back out.
