Samaritan Pulls Deer Out Of Van To Help Family.

A family has a good Samaritan to thank after their minivan collided with a deer in Van Buren County this weekend, Local 4 reported.
Police said that the man saw the collision on Saturday, stopped, pulled the still-kicking deer out of the family's minvan and then killed it.

Police said that driver Dean Jeffery, 34, of Ann Arbor, was eastbound on Interstate 94 when the deer hit the minivan. After his wife grabbed the wheel and stopped the vehicle in the median, the deer was still kicking in the back.

"It's a wonder it didn't kill the driver," Michigan State Police Sgt. Jim Richardson told The Herald-Palladium of St. Joseph, Mich.

Dean was in satisfactory condition Tuesday at Community Hospital in Watervliet. Hospital officials said that his wife and three children were treated and released after the collision.
