I saved some waypoints on my GPS and when I went to find them on the MAPCARD software I found a problem. The mapcard has this

39 degrees 42' 03.06"  The 03 goes up to 60 and the .06" goes up to 100.

My GPS has this 39 degrees 42.63  The 63 is the part I don't understand and that seems to be the part where I'm getting messed up. Can somebody help me.

These numbers are not the same. I just used th 39 42 63 to show that the third number went above 60. Thank you

I'll take a shot at your problem.

I think the problem is that your GPS Coordinate "Format" is not matching the MapCard's Coordinates.  You will have to change either the GPS Format (in setup) or the MapCard's if that's possible, so they match.   You will also have to be sure both have the same "Map Datum" like WGS 84 or NAD 27

Here are some example Coordinates:

<font face="courier new">

The following have the same value, just different "Formats"

Degrees:Minutes:Seconds "Format"
39:42:03   which is 39 degrees, 42 minutes, and 3 seconds

Degrees:Minutes:Seconds "Format" (Seconds has a decimal fraction)
39:42:03.0   which is 39 degrees, 42 minutes, and 3.0 seconds

Degrees "Format"
39.70083

Degrees:Minutes "Format"
39:42.05
</font>

Good news and bad news. The good news is that you are right and thank you. The bad news is that the logorithym that changes it in my GPS isn't very accurate and it throws my waypoints off. The other good news is that now I have to spend more time in the woods marking everything.
