Delta striper fishing

Was out camping over the weekend out on the Delta Islands. We were catching stripers here and there but nothing was of quality size/keepers. Pulled out some wax worms for some bluegill fishing. Started slaying them right away. I ended up putting one on a slider sinker set up and a little over an hour later a nice 22" striper slammed it! Let me get on tapatalk to post the pic of it.

Nice! Big ones should be moving in soon, they're catching good number of big fish out of the gate right now

Thanks and yeah I've heard the party boats are doing real good. We should be getting them real soon. I've been fishing the Clifton Forebay and Old River since late March. Was getting lots of fish in the 15 to 17 inch class but this was my first keeper of the year. Caught her up between Lodi and Rio Vista. She was full of eggs. I thought the spring run spawn would've been in May. Must be plenty of food still out there keeping them from coming into the delta.
