Hey, let us know how it went! I passed 76 & 66A last year on my way up to the Pioneer units for an archery hunt last year. I think I would have been better off down around Diamond Creek. In spite of a lot more archers, there are a lot more elk down there. You'll run into a lot of people from Utah on that hunt for sure but it can still be a good hunt.

The hunt went good! I got a nice 5x5, my buddy also got his first elk on day 9, the last day of the hunt. We did see elk every day, even saw a couple wolf doggin a bull. Yes, lots of hunters from UT also saw plates from WA,TN,MI,TX,& WY. Most of the people talked were not getting into much. I think most of them were not willing to do the work to get to the animals! Still up in the air about next season. I would do it again !!!

Glad to hear you did well! I bet you had to pack those elk out a ways. There are a couple places that rent horses on the wyo side of that range. If I go back to Idaho to hunt elk, that is probably where I will go. Archery tags for that unit might be limited sooner than later. If that happens, and the wolves are controlled, I might focus on that area. See many deer?
