The only way to get them is to get out there, so you're on the right track! Keep on 'em. I'm looking forward to photos of your success!

There there but they move a lot. My experience is just to keep going back and you eventually run into 'em. I always hunted the same general area and averaged about 1 in every 5 or 6 trips getting into them. I thought about keeping logs of wind direction, moon phase, weather conditions etc and seeing if there was some common thread I wasn't picking up on but then just decided the hell with it, I'll just keep going back

Good luck and keep on them, you'll catch up to them eventually

I jumped three on Thursday but couldn't get a clean shot. I am thinking they may be in smaller groups but I just started hunting there so I am currently learning their routines and bedding areas.
I am up there Wed, Thur, and Fridays, White Toyota 4x4 with either a recurve or crossbow.

It is so damn dry it is hard to be quiet in the trees. I am hoping this rain comes through because I will get one for sure.

Looks like you are in a boat so I doubt we will see each other so good luck.

I here that the shotguns come out and a lot of folks just shoot to see what happens when they shoot stuff with a slug and the pigs hide away for the day

I was up there Sunday. Hiked the south side of yorty, just some old sign. Ive hunted up there about 6-7 times havent seen and coyotes, but on sunday, i saw about 5 piles of fresh shit that looked like coyote, but Ive never seen that many fresh piles in a row from coyotes. Any resemblence to pig shit? So as far as the pigs go, Ive seen one pig while hunting up there last year. Same location, yorty, solo boar that winded me and b-lined south toward the boundry. Honestly, how is the hunting on the other side, by the campgrounds? I went over there in the afternoon and passed all kinds of joggers and hikers and all that. I think ill avoid that area from now on plus it was a sunday, i like remote locations. These pigs seem to come in and hit an area and leave. Is that about right?? I hope to get access to a boat soon. I would like to charge all over that north end. Ill keep pounding on foot until then.
