Aren't Olympus cameras the only ones out there with 10X optical anyway? There's a couple (an HP, and the Nikon 5700) that have 8X, and a couple that have 7X and 5X (Minolta 7i and Hi, and the Sonys). I think the 2100 was the only one to have IS. The only other way to get IS is to go with a digi SLR and an IS lens, and that's a pretty pricey way to go.

Panasonic makes a 12X optical zoom imagestabilized lens on their DMC-FZ1 and their new DMC-FZ2. Bucksnort, I know you saw my post on monstermuleys about the panasonic but another one you might want to check out is the new one Minolta has come out with. It is 5.2 megapixels and has a stabilized CCD rather than a stabilized lens. It has an 8X lens. It may be quite pricey when it is released though. Here is the link http://www.dpreview.com/news/0308/03080705dimagea1.asp

Interesting about the new Minolta. It seems people who have the MInoltas are pretty happy with them. One thing to note, it's actually only equivalent to a 28 to 200 mm 35 mm camera lens, wheras the Oly C750 is equiv to 380 mm on the top end. That's quite a difference, but then again I hear the Minoltas are impressive cameras, even pros use them.
