Whacked a couple of bristle pigs last year - still waiting for the shoulder mount from the taxi. Thought I'd do the skull(s) myself - here's the first one. I left the tusks in they're natural state (unbleached).

That's real cool, how did you do it. I have been burying mine for the last two deer I shot, but they don't get brilliant white like that

Hydrogen peroxide and ultra white (the same hair bleach that most beauty salons use for bleaching hair in powder form) you can get kits from cabelas or vandykes.

Fug -
There's a number of ways to do it - I did mine first by macreation (in a bucket of warm water). That step takes awhile, depending on the temperature of the water - it has to be bacteria friendly (if it's cold out I drop a aquarium heater in the bucket) Once all the flesh and brains are gone, I then degrees it. If you skip the degrees step it'll eventually turn yellow. You can use a number of things to degrees it: clear Dawn soap, Rittle's Super Solvent, amonia, acetone, camp fuel....I just use Dawn and baking soda. Then I use hydrogen peroxide (never bleach) for a day or three. then I glued the tusks (or teeth that fell out) back in with Elmer's glue and finish it with a few coats of either Elmer's glue mixed with water, or a clear polyutherane spray (that's what I used). You kind of have to be patient, but overall it's easy. This was the first one I ever did, so I'm happy with the results. I have one more, which I'll start taking the flesh off of tonight. Good luck!

Damn that looks good. Im thinking that i really should have kept those fox and yote skulls. I just though it would be to much trouble.
