I hunted on Brahma Island in Florida with dogs. Had a 200lb boar bayed and cornered by waist deep water. I put a 12 guage slug in him and he dissapeared. Found him at the bottom of the marsh. He sank like a rock. You would think they would at least float for a few minutes.
Nice hog Kirk, that sucker does look pretty big!!!! Sorry to hear about the hamstring and the lost pig Tony. I would have paid good cash though to watch you digging that pig out of the pond, good stuff
BDB....as i was waist deep in the mud, i thought about getting out and setting up my camera, but then i remembered how good LD is w/ PhotoShop. No telling what he'd of done with that pic.
Way to go boys.
Again you did them in.
but you cant declare the magical 300 number unless you put him on a scale and show us the picture.
rules are rules.
but on the bright side you can CLAIM it.
since I personally seen you with a 40lber one time this one is easy better than that.
I see it took 4 pillow cases to hold the meat. at about 42lbs of meat per pillow case thats 168bs of deboned meat X2 for on the hoof weight well over 300lbs! there you go
I know how much you can get in a pillow case cuz I had to use one tonight to carry out my hams and straps from the hog I shot this evening. not gonna hijack your thread so wait for the story to be made into a movie.
Anyway great day in the hills by all.
Dang my mistake you only used three pillow cases!
you probably pack more into them!
Rancho..wish i was smart enough to use photoshop, and as far as the ball retreiver, i'm just gonna start packing a fishing gaff. That would have saved me a miserable wet hike out.
Of course they float, but not after you let the air out, duh, I swear the education system up in the Volunteer state needs some work, oh well.
Ya'll done good, as always, but a pic or short vid of you wrastlin that little lady in the pond would have been great, you'd be a you tube icon in no time, though the word on teh skreet is that you already is a big timer on the underground "video" circuit.
also I hear warning shots allow them the opportunity to clear the pond and then a safe kill shot can be administered without fear of swimming.
