I was recently told that dog food was a great bait for pigs. Does anyone know if this is true?

Pigs will eat just about anything.[/b]
Well I found out that they eat dog food. I put some out there, and the next day it had disappeared. The woods leading up to the food look like it had been trampled. So I think I have a few of them by me. Once I kill a few i'll stop putting food out by the stand, and start hunting deer.

When I was younger there were a few small pigs living in the forest behind my house, I dug about 5 holes a foot deep or so and poured dog food and chicken pellets in them and covered them up. Next day all but one of the holes were dug up and rooted a foot around. It works.

Hogs have one hell of a nose and can tear up some ground if they think there is food down there for them! Next time you set up, put a trail cam up to see how many you got.
