I was looking and found it myself this morning.
It's under the Things to Know tab; not the first place I'd look either.

I'm trying to make this my first dove season out there after some good and bad experiences in other places.

Anyone got good ideas on what is better from South OC, 91 and I10 to Palm Springs or go south and then east on I8?

The number of fields is getting smaller and smaller every year.... it seams.

Actually, I believe the numbers of fields have stayed the same.

From my Desert Wildlife Unlimited (DWU) maps:
In 2003, we lost field 22, gained 512 & 513, and 24 was moved (gain of 1).
In 2004 we lost fields 23 & 26, gained 29 and they moved 13, 14 & 25 (loss of 1).
In 2005 we lost fields 15, 28 & 29 (loss of 3).
This year we gained fields 9, 22 & 23 (gain of 3).

So I think we are dead even, a superb job for those who put their time and effort into DWU for our (the hunting public) benefit.

I may be too sensitive about this, but I need to get on my soapbox a little.

For those who hunt the DWU fields and who:

- Support DWU with membership or financial donations,
- Or donate their time and effort when help is needed with DWU projects,
- Or pick up the spent hulls and trash left by the less considerate hunters,
- Or simply pick up after them selves; are courteous and considerate of others and mind where their muzzles are pointing,

Please consider becoming a member of the “A” Team, above!

Okay, I feel better now. From the folks on this forum that I have met, most (if not all) are already “A” Team members…let’s keep trying to recruit more members.

Rumpled,

The 91 to 10 east and then south route is the best. I took the I-8 route once from N. OC and it took considerably longer. Of course there are more casinos to stop at on the way.....I stay away from those things now!

Hey Rumpled,
I live in El Torito, and it's dead even for me to go either way - when travelling to Niland. I prefer the northerly route for diversions and rest stops.
