Great Pic....Was he across the river from you? Must be nice to have a place right on a river..All I got is a snake infest creek about 200 yds away

g-hog....I can mow right to the rivers edge. It's a big river and the eagle was on the edge of an island in front of my property. I see them all the time but never have my cam ready.

The only problem with the 740 is that it takes too long to focus and get a picture for birds, seems you only have time for one or maybe two pics.

I have a nikon n70 35mm and I can take ten pictures easier and as quick as a couple with the 740. Plus the view finder shows a lot more so is easier to follw a bird in flight.

Think I need one of those new digital SLR's. If only had the money.

Here's one I got of it flying.
