Central Valley is supposed to be earthquakes proof, but it shook pretty good

Did the big one hit up north or down south?

Howdy CS,
Centered near Ridgecrest. 6.4. People are talking some damage. Also people are reporting seeing smoke in the town. Here in El Mirage we felt it as a number of sharp jolts. Almost got up from the recliner just incase the tv rocked off it's pedestal.

I felt it. Was sitting on my couch. I felt my body sway a little and began to hear my window blinds begin knocking against the window. looked up and saw my chandelier swaying. I though SF got hit. 250 miles away
