Congratulations on that tag, I've put in for it and haven't drawn yet but I can't complain, I drew a Bull tag there in '06 He's the bull in my avatar.
There's a marsh at the southwest corner of the reservoir and herds of pigs will head down to it in the evenings.
If I draw that tag I'll be lounging in my kayak near the shoreline of that marsh.
Good luck and post a story with pics.
ps I went to Elementary school in Meadow Vista

COngrats on the draw!

Should be a great hunt. Lots of hogs, and you'll probably be right in amongst the elk too!

Focus on the marshy area where Glass Eye was referring to... The pigs go into the blackberries and thick brush - and periodically poke their heads out to root around... It is not that big of an area (the hunt boundary) so get out, walk it, see some country... and when you are ready to kill your pig, head to the marsh... Be aware that the marsh is in a "closed zone", where you aren't allowed to hunt. Hunt near the edge, and you'll catch the pigs coming or going...

I don't know if the hunt rules are the same with pig as they were with the elk, but with the elk we could hunt the marsh, however, there was a BIG EMPHASIS about your line of fire. They did not want us shooting toward the marsh (east to west ) because there is a horse pasture and barn on the other side beyond the trees. The F&G said it would be okay to set-up at the marsh and shoot towards the peninsula (west to east).
Check the rules
I would not bother to look anywhere else for the pigs, hunt the marsh morning and evening. I would use the remainder of the day to explore the peninsula ( catholic point ) being that it is off-limits to anyone except a tag holder. It's beautiful country, take advantage of the permit and explore it, you'll see deer, cow elk ( bulls only go there when rutting ) turkeys, varmits etc.
Also there are some other marshy areas east of the peninsula that pigs might frequent. ( first pic below )
In the pics below, the last pic is of the marsh, south end looking north.

Hike around and check out the entire peninsula... but you'll get your pig near the red circled area... keep in mind that the red area was off-limits (at least it was last year). But if you hunt along the small foothills near there, you'll catch them coming from the peninsula early in the morning - or you'll catch them heading from the marsh back out to the peninsula in the evening. They close this area off, so that people are not shooting towards the houses across the creek.

What Ken said.
I guess they got more restrictive since my hunt.
The close-up photos that I took of them pigs were on a hill overlooking the marsh, well away from that "pink line" I was glassing and photographing elk when I heard a pig grunt behind me, I turned and took those pics at about 20 yards. When they saw me turnaround they backtracked, but about 1/2 hour later they came through again. Turns out I was standing on their "very trodden" trail.
Find one of those trails leading to the marsh and sit on it.

Speaking of "very trodden trail", you'll notice some behind my dad... He killed his pig right in the same general spot... the little rolling hills leading down to the marsh...

The whole lake has pig. I used to hunt the two ranches that bordered 2/3rds of the lake on western and northern shore-line. There are pigs everywhere there. I have rounded up cattle in the campgrounds after they were closed and pigs go in there too.
