El Centro, Imperial County......

Is there a public place in El Centro where we could plink with our M-1 Garands????

Larry; I don't know of anyplace around El Centro for just plinking -especially with Garands as they toss "heavy metal" and the land is pretty flat. 10 or so miles west of El Centro is the Imperial Valley Rifle and Pistol Assn range. Membership is $25 a year and they have facilities out to 800 yards, I believe. For plinking I think someplace you could find access to the areas along the New River might be your best bet. We were just visiting. We went to the DelMar GunShow & we wanted to plink with our CMP Garands afterwards. It would be nice to find a plinking spot for the Garands as we go to the DelMar GunShow pretty regularly. Thanks for any helpful tips. God Bless. larrysogla.
