I'm going to apply for trophy elk in several states this year. I was wondering what states you all apply for? As for you lucky one's that live in a state that has elk, I'm sure you all apply for your home state. I'm more interested in those of you that are like me that are applying for the out of state applications.

I'm applying for:

Arizone, New Mexico and Utah. I'm also looking into applying for Nevada, Montana and Wyoming and anywhwere else I can find the trophy management area's I can apply for. Does anyone else out there do the same thing? Apply for as many management area's that are low on the odds of getting drawn, but if you do get drawn. They have a high trophy bull elk success rate.

Break out the checkbook.
You will eventually get drawn for something.
Good luck.

I will most likely put in for a point in CO again this year, but not sure if I'll be hunting elk. Still debating whether I want another elk or if I wanna go get a caribou.

Might decide later to try Oregon for archery elk, but every year I say I'm gonna... then I don't.

Oh, and I'll make my annual donation to the CA Tule Elk.

I don't believe in the point system, but I still put in for Wyo/New Mex and Colorado and of course Ca. I've never been a horn hunter I just love the outdoor experience.
