Hey everyone,

I had booked a bull elk hunt in CO over a year ago for this Oct. My brother in-law and I were planning to go but he has had to back out. The hunt is for bulls in zone 62 during the first rifle season, Oct 9-13 with Hyatt Guides and outfitters. You may remember a post from Speckmisser about this elk hunt that he had won with them. Here is the post with details of the his trip.

I am posting here to see if anyone is interested in taking his spot. We booked the hunt before his prices went up. The cost is $2250. This is for 1 week, all meals, lodging, fresh bedding, hot showers and 4-1 hunter to guide. The details are in the scanned copy of his flier listed at the bottom of this post. It might be hard to read but if anyone is interested I'll e-mail a much better copy. Two things though, apps have to be into CO fish and game by April 6th (post marked). There is an 80% (roughly) of being drawn without any points. If not successful in the draw there are a couple of options, switch to second rifle season (over the counter) if Hyatt has space or postpone the hunt to next year. I will be going first season in either case as I have 1 point and am guaranteed the tag. Also I/we have to get money (half of total) to Hyatt pretty soon. He said April 1 but there is a little leeway since I haven't received the packet in the mail yet for the payment and other details.

If anyone is interested please let me know otherwise I will have to call Hyatt and cancel the other spot.

Steve
