These were taken this morning as my friend left her ranchette..... these are not on a game ranch!

Does your friend live in Montrose, or over in Ridgeway? That spot looks real familiar.

I have a good friend up in Ridgeway who lives on a little 40 acre plot. He said the elk are all over his place this time of year.

She lives about 6 miles south of Montrose off of 550? Ridgeway is a little south I believe. Im not sure if this was a Ridgeway Resevoir Trout or a Stagecoach trout...

What a beautiful picture. How awesome is it to have wildlife like that around your property. I cannot wait until the day that I can afford to own some land where I can look out and not see nothing but the neighbors dog whizzing in my yard. Or, the occasional mouse trying desperately to get in to my bag of bird feed. But to see these pictures like the guy who had the two huge muleys in his kitchen window, or this herd of elk...that is what makes it all worth while.

Well all I can say is that I know for a fact they worked hard to get what they have! My buddy is lucky though, after a 25 year career in Law Enforcement she retired with her husband (also Retired LEO) to the beautiful state of Colorado. She calls me all the time , theres deer, theres elk, theres eagles, etc until I have to tell her to stop making me jealous!!!!!!
