Hey guys dont know if you heard about this,i get the wild idaho news and there is a good article this month,Glenn Berry of big bull productions pretty well known for filming big game hunts around the globe,got busted for killing a 6x6 bull elk in september during the archery hunt and filming it with his son behind the camera,only one problem he was hunting in idaho side the continental divide when he killed it,and he had a montana license and tag,witnesses saw the whole thing go down and reported the elk being killed to local game warden lew huddleston who went to the scene,berry took off to try and purchsae a idaho bull tag,leaving his son there,so now glenn berry has a film credit for poaching,he pleaded guilty! PENALTIES:$1,000 court costs,$750 civil penalty,180 days in jail,three years license revocation,three more violations resulting in 9,000 dollars in fines,because idaho is a member of the wildlife violator compact,berry will also not be able to hunt in the 20 other states for the next three years!his son is set for trial in january for accessory!

Glenn has posted some comments on another bow hutning site. I dont think it was a case af outrighting poaching. He does take blame for his actions.

Sad to hear that a respected (well, @ least he was respected) member of the hunting community does this kinds of things. The fines: Extremely fair. He knew he did wrong. What's ironic is that when something like this occurs, thought it might have been only the first time ever, it does make you think about how many times it might have occured in the past therefore further discrediting previous work. I honestly feel for the guy, that is as a human being knowing his love for hunting and how hard it will be not being able to hunt, well @ least in certain states. As a poacher, I have no mercy.

I'm not sad to hear about it at all. Why did he run off to get a tag?
Honest mistake? Is there an actual written account of this somewhere?

yes the story is on the website,scroll down till you see the date dec.5,2005 click on it and go to page 7 it describes the whole story,"additional confirmation regarding berrys knowledge of the exact location of the kill site was confirmed by the fact that he purchased an idaho elk tag after the bull had been shot"remember he had a tag for montana,according to the witnesses that saw the killing,they marked the kill site on gps and called idfg,he was one-half mile to one mile into the idaho side of the continental divide,the video was never recovered that they where shooting!because his son,chad was part of thisbig game shootinggone bad,he is scheduled to stand trial for possession of an unlawfully taken animal in clark in jan.,short end of it he confessed to it and will suffer the reprocutions!
