I'm looking for a spot online where I can get elk population statistics by state/province for north america. The more detail the better. Anyone know of such a spot?

Thanks ...

Those were good stats that of course can be updated by contacting the various fish and game agency's or their equivalent. Another very good question is what percentage of the
elk were harvested on public vs private land. Obviously in Alaska thats not a major concern since there is little private land compared to other states but it is releavent for the lower 48 and perhaps Canada.

The stats that the State uses for Colorado's Elk population are
<

They just claim to have so many Elk to sell Nonresidents a $500 tag

I see more Elk in other states than I do here. I plan on hunting Utah for Spike/Cow from now on because you actually see Elk over there

I plan on going over to CO to hunt cows this year 'cause the only good cow hunts here in UT are the limited entry ones....lol.
