At deer sheds request here are my elk shed from this year, makes the total 5. This is a picture of my montana sheds. There are elk here in nevada but its about a 4 hr drive to the honey spots. I need to get off my lazy ass and go look. I think the areas where the elk are wintering here get hit pretty hard by shed hunters.

I got the fever for elk sheds right now.I needed a little inspiration.lol
I have one place I can look for elk sheds,but it's a 4 hr drive and the competetion is bad for the sheds.Raghorns is about the best I could hope to find in that area.There's a chance of a nice shed being found,but the odds aren't with me.The bigger bulls get followed and sheds picked up as fast as they fall.
I did find some nice ones one year with 2 of them being a nice 6X7 set.That same lucky year I found a 7pt. side that weighed 11lbs. and had a 46"main beam.
If I were you I'd be making the trip of yours yesterday.
