Fall bucks

Pretty good preseason morning. Nineteen bucks between daylight and 8:30 AM. I thought this little 8 was going to crawl up in the blind with me. No zooming on this shot - he was about 15 ft away. The 70-200 with an extender was almost too much lens! I bet those darn cactus needles hurt!

Great shots trent! It looks like you had some great early morning light too. Based on all of that action, it looks like they were moving pretty good.
It blows me away how the whitetail will eat, and walk right through that cactus. I remember skinning some down in S. Texas, and the layer of fat was dense with prickly pear needles. They will eat and walk right through a cactus without hesitation it seems.

It hurts just looking at him... when I was about 7 or 8 years old my parents took me to a cactus farm in CA, never take a seven year old to a cactus farm, that pic brings back some painful memories.
