I know these calls are typically used for predator hunting but I have read they are pretty good at calling in does and since I have a doe tag this year and I hadn't seen any so far I thought I would give it a try. Used it the other day at a new spot near private property and a doe showed up about 150 yards away within 5 minutes. She was about 75 yards into the private property and didn't come any closer, she was moving pretty slow when I saw her so I'm not sure if the call attracted her or kept her away. I tried it again yesterday and nothing showed up. Just wondering if anyone else has had any luck with these calls for deer. It seems like when the hunting pressure is on these calls would do a better job at scaring deer than attracting them.

Electronic calls aren't legal for big game I believe, but, I've had good luck calling in does with a fawn mouth call, at one time I had 3 does walking around a clump of brush I was hiding in snorting and stamping their hooves, of course I didn't have a doe tag. Plus you may get lucky and call in a coyote.

Called in whitetail does in Wyoming with a fawn call. They came running to about 30 yards

I'm using a mouth call, not electronic. It's funny though, my son brings his iphone along and wants to use all these calls he has downloaded and I have tell him he can't. Anyway, were you guys using a fawn bleat call or distress (squealing, crying) call?

I will often do a fawn call with my mouth, it almost always stops the deer in their tracks. I've used it after being busted by does maybe 30 yards away, I had seen the legs muscles tense up to take a step, and I let out the fawn call, they all turned and faced me. It works with young bucks just as well. However, those mature bucks are a different story, they just don't stick around once they know something is hinky.

one year my bow hunting partner and I brought our wives and our little babies, we tent camped in a nice campground Escudilla Mtn in AZ. My partner and I go off stalking through the woods, no luck that day. Our wives reported the babies crying called in three does right into the camp and wouldn't leave!

Usedd to do a lot of coyote calling and would often have does come into fawn or rabbit distress calls.

I was hunting with a guy in Montana who used a mouth-piece and it worked great at does and younger bucks
