Actually, $150.00 for an annual pass to hunt on 200,000 plus acres of pristine land in the center of CA is a pretty sweet deal. Sure there are hiccups but to be able to hunt on public land that is basically just like it was 100 years ago, especially here in "the land of fruits and nuts" is way beyond cool... What would you pay for "permission to pass" on private land? And remember before 09/011/2001, none of this extra funny business was needed... These folks are protecting us 24/7 and letting us civilians use their base to hunt. We should thank them...

Navy SWO- Thanks for the information. My post above you was a bit over the top, but I appreciate you attempting to have a rational conversation with them. I can't understand their elimination of a disabled veteran fee structure. Shoot, the state recognizes it, I'm not sure why they saw fit to eliminate that category. If you have the occasion to further communicate with Mr. Bosch, please consider asking him about that. Thanks for your dilligence on this.

I've been hunting FHL for more than 30 yrs. This time no more FHL hunting. B & C zone will be my new hunting area. Besides no copper bullet BS. I can hunt 7 days a week and no check station bullshit. Goodbye FHL, I hate to go but I have to. :mooning:
