FHL Cop busted for poaching an elk on the fort

Fort Hunter Liggett fort cop got busted for shooting one too many elk on his tag.

Looks like it will cost him his job there. Word is he just lost his mind and kept shooting. The fort biologist just happened by and saw the elk laying and it didn't take long to find out who the shooter was.

I took a peek in the cold storage at about 5 of the bulls taken last week on the FHL elk hunt. Lots of decent antlers, couple 5x6s and a 6x7 with a broken off tine. Nothing huge but all nice bulls. I wanted to take a pic but the heads and racks were laying behind the meat and a pig so a pic was not going to work without moving all that out of the way.

It should cost him a hell of alot more than his job. Huge fine and loss of license should also happen. To have those that protect abuse the system is even worse in my book.
