Well I made it on the 4th but walked to much so im sitting home on the 5th. Tried T/A 3, first time in there and first time its been open sence first weekend in Jan. Very good looking country walked and climed every valley and ridge that didnt have brush, did not see a single bit of sign. (Tip Bring some thick trach bags for waders to cross the river after a rain, slip them on your legs cross the river, stash then and use them on you way back worked great, no wet feet.) Came back down to the game station changed to T/A 29. Walked in on the east side of the lake, parking spot #1. Had a great hunt, lot of good sign. Walked the entire perimeter, was walking through a brushey hill side, not very thick brush about knee high lots of good trails through it. I was about half way through and jumped up a big sow from her bed at about 5 feet ya i said 5 feet think it scared me more than i scared her she ran out about 15 yards and stoped while i was fumbling around to get an arrow out and knocked I heard some grunting at my feet looked down and there was six piglets, little things still all wrenkeld. The sow took off over the top of the hill and i went on my way smiling. A little bit later saw a yote, put a stalk on it got to about 45 yards, out of range of my recurve and got busted. Those darn dogs a hard to sneek up on. Saw two bobcats, big toms and about 30 deer. Was a good afternoon.
Will be back out there 11th & 12th
