FHL T/A Areas for this weekend

15,16,19,29 and 30 are open this weekend. Its going to be wet and half the place might be covered with snow. I live in Coalinga 60 miles west of FHL and we have heavy snow in the hills just out side of town, well we have what a california boy would call heavy snow but the roads on FHL are going to be muddy and slick.

Good luck Pops! The biggest Hog that I've ever seen on FHL was in 15 down in the bottom of Stoney Creek just N. W. of the old ranch buildings. My partner and I had snuck down in the creek bottom trying to close the distance on a big herd of Elk, I crawled out the on the west side of the creek to try and spot the Elk and started to hear something big walking the creek bottom behind me. I couldn't see what was making the noise from where I was but Mike was dang near 1 v 1 with a big Boar! It finally winded us and busted out of there. I got a good look at it a little later out in the open, HUGE!!! It looked like it had lot's of Russian still left in him because he had a massive hump on his high back. Sure wish I had been Rifle hunting instead of flinging arrows!

Spectr17, on presedents day weekend sunday morning i hunted T/A 5 in 2" of snow along the river, it didnt even start to melt until 930, 1000, it was cool,well got to go register for the hunt this weekend.

Well back from registering. Going to try 29, see if i can jump another hog up at 5 feet, that got my heart going last saterday.
