I currently use a Winchester Model 100 for hog hunting here in Hawaii. It has a variable scope set on 3X. The pigs tend to be in close and a bad encounter with a boar the other day made it clear that a scope may be more of a hindrance than a help. Problem is that my old eyes can't focus on the existing folding leaf rear sight and the ivory bead front sight at the same time. I need a nice fiber optic open sight system or some sort of a peep sight system. Anyone know what brand will fit a Win 100 without the need for gunsmithing?

Thanks.

MY friend had a laser sight for a while on his winchester trapper...works good in low light and quick to aim...Im not a big fan of things that need batteries though

doc,

how about a red dot sight ?? They're great for close-in work.

my eyes don't do so well anymore and the red dot works quite well for me.

Cheers,

Carl
