After a 14 month wait, the taxidermist finally finished the mount...i think it turned out pretty good.
I shot this boar at 18 yards thru the heart at Wild Hog Adventures....in particular- Round Springs.

Really nice Kirk. I'd be proud to have it hang on my wall.

Big Nasty mount you got there, which of course when you speak of Hogs means he's sho got a purty mouf.

what did you do with the skull?

I remember hauling that tick infested-beast out of the canyon with Pigig, you, and myself! For some reason it seemed like I was doing all of the work

Nice mount Arrowslinger.
<

If you don't mind can you tell me what you paid, who you used and how they figured the cost of mounting?

I used Dick's Taxidermy in Granite Bay and paid $625
<

LD..if i remeber correct, Pigig and myself did all the work hauling that dude out...i think you were saying your back hurt from your yoga class
<

This pig was walking right to me when i shot'em....he turned his head to the right and i put the arrow under his chin angling down into his heart...i was standing on the trail he was walking on, not a 'high percentage' shot..but i'll take what i can get and figured 18 yards was a little too close for comfort.

A perfect boar mount. 14 months! You're more patient than I am. You gotta try putting it over the fireplace.
