We had a huge show tonight near the house. Out of more than 100 photos, I got 9 or so that were quality.

Hey Jim, nice photos, I checked out your photos on pbase. It looks like you got some good ones. Getting good firework photos usually involves quite a bit of luck for me. Where you using manual settings or just using auto mode?

I am a manual mode kind of guy:)

For the most part I take all my daytime pics in ISO 100 and SHQ and night pics in 200 and SHQ, although for these I did not change the ISO.

Everything else I let the camera do it's work.

Course that is probably why I can take good landscape, wildlife etc shots...but have a terrible time when the light source has been altered.
