Well today was my first day shed hunting here in reno for 2006. I have been waiting to go out but I could wait no longer. Hiked for five hours and found two mulie sheds from last season and one from two seasons ago. Good not to get skunked the first day out. I normally would not be so excited but I found a match to one of my biggest sheds, I must have walked by it a thousand times last season. To date this is my first large matching pair of mule deer sheds. I have had a real problem finding the other sides of my big sheds. Sorry no pics but my digital camera was dead when I pulled it out. No fresh sheds today and only jumped one 3pt. buck who was packing both sides. Ill have pics later. Happy hunting.

Congrats on a good start!!
Sometimes those fresh sheds can really blend in good.It kind'a makes you feel stupid the following year when it's faded and standing out like a sore thumb.
