FEATHER RIVER--It is sounding like a broken record, but striped bass fishing continued to be phenomenal in spite of heavy fishing pressure. A few of the better spots have been at the mouth of the Yuba River, Star Bend and Boyds Pump. Pile worms, sardines, and anchovies continued to be the best baits, but trolling deep-diving Rebels, Bombers, and Manns 15 were also coming on strong. Flows in the low flow dropped dramatically on Friday and left a ton of steelhead exposed to angler access, and WON Pro Staffer Craig Bentley cashed in on them big time over the weekend.
