Took two of my youth duck hunters out turkey hunting this morning (Tanner & Josh). To say it was foggy is a understatement. The birds did not fly down in their usual spot, and we didn't hear our 1st gobble till 6:45. The 1st bird to come in through the fog was a hen. At 10 yds, she saw something she didn't like and hear came the alarm putts. So much for the gobblers coming in. We then moved up the mountain and more into the woods. After some aggressive box calling, we heard a distant gobbler. The more I called, the closer he came. At about 75 yds, I quit calling and he came into the woods looking for his new girlffriend. What he found was Federal 3" 2 oz' of 5's......Big 2 year old...20.8 lbs, 8" beard, 3/4 spurs....................
