lan-lord...see where you are thinking about a game cam....know you want quality from looking at all your pictures you've shown here. My two cents is to get a digital Sony p32 with a small board that uses a nine volt battery and put it into a pelican 1030 or 1040. Here is a pic I got of a red tail hawk with a 380 taken about 3 feet from cam. Olympus 380 is 2mg, Sony is 3.2mg. Just think of the difference.

Thats what I am looking for. That is a great pic of that hawk. I'm going to need you to break down some of your last post for me. What is a pelican 1030/1040. I am assuming that is a case? what is the difference between 1030 and the 1040? What kind of price? What boards are small and use the 9v batts?

Also how much do each of these items cost?
p32 =170
pelicans = ?
boards = ?

My main reason for wanting a game cam is so I can find more locations to photograph from, without burning a whole day (or half day) in a place that is not as probable. Also, there is some new ground that I think may have some potential, but dont want to spend time away from some of my prime locations unless I know what comes with the territory.

I know this is going to sound absolutely terrible, but I was a little disappointed this year when I didnt see as many or as big of deer. I know there are bigger ones out there, unfortunately, I was not able to photograph them as much as I would have liked to (or even at all).

Thanks for the info. Sony's work good for me because I am familiar with them and already have mem sticks too.

The pelican 1040 case costs around $13. This is a picture of one that Arkansaselkhunter built in a pelican 1040 case using a glolab board. You can PM him and find out more about it.

This is the setup I will use when I start my Sony. I use the 1050 case with my Olympus 380, same size but a little deeper.

I think your pictures are great and you will love the game addiction.
