Fort Hunter Liggett

I'm heading up Wednesday morning to Hunter Liggett for a five day elk hunt. Just wanted to cast the net to guys that deer hunted up there this weekend. I wouldn't normally ask for scouting information but seeing how there are only a few tags available I figured you wouldn't mind.
I know a few places where the elk generally like to hang out but just wanted to get the most recent intel! Where the bulls getting vocal etc. Thanks for the help!

I would give the base a call, as I had heard the Bryson Fire burned area 29 and maybe more.

Weekender, I'll be up there Friday and hunting through Monday (since it's a 3-day weekend). I'll be in Campsite 3 if you want to stop by and say hi.

Area 29 did get burnt out. So all those I told you were in there might not be there now. They might have gone into 25, but could just as easily gone onto private.

I didn't go up this past weekend due to all the restrictions (only a few guys in our group has muzzy's) and the heat. 110 degree's just isn't fun. lol Next weekend is looking like it's going to be a lot cooler. So should be a fun time.

I'll be there thursday morn and will be camped toward the back look for the Jayco Jtx camper on the left back corner if the camp site aint taken by the time I get there. I had a Archery antlerless tag in 2007 and harvested a cow 2 years ago.
