Searching on Ebay auction hog hunts, I found this Houston area(Brazoria county) 3,500 acre ranch. It is a 6 hunter, 3 day/2 night 2 hogs per hunter, lodging & 3 meals a day included. The price is currently up for bidding. The name of the hunt operator is ckbrokerage. Has anybody had any experience with these folks. I kind of have pleasant memories of Houston area hogs being fat, heavy & green grass smelling. So I was searching on Houston area hog hunt operations. This came up on the Ebay hunt auction. I am looking for personal experience inputs pro or con before I even consider calling up these people for a possible hog hunt this Jan. '05.
Thanks in advance. God Bless. larrysogla.

Don't know anything about that operation but we will start catching hogs here in a couple of weeks. You don't get to shoot them but it does not cost anything either. Ain't nothing like catching and throwing a big hog down. It will ruin you for life.

Larry.. I am not sure what outfit that is.. It sounds like a hunting broker is running the auction. Do they list the name of the ranch at all??? I am betting that ckbrokerage is brokering the hunt for a fee....

You need to hook up with Tx_Hoghunter and stick one with a knife Satchmo style...

Thanks guys for your suggestions. The name of the ranch is the Shini Ranch. This is different from the Shinn Ranch. I have come up empty when doing a google search & also a Texasboars search. I will probably come up with something from the 'net if I keep searching. God Bless. larrysogla.

Do they have feedback at Ebay? If they do, that should give you a idea if people are happy with their hunts.

Bishop,
I have used a hog hunt auction advertiser in Ebay only once, and that is only after I received a very positive recommendation from Chapdog48(a member here at JHO & a schoolteacher, so his word was very reliable) from his family's hunt experience with that particular outfit(Wildhoghunt.com). The hunt turned out to be excellent thanks to Chapdog48.

So I am looking for another recommendation from a JHO member before I commit $$$ to some distant hog operation. So my question is how reliable are those Ebay ratings?? The rating of ckbrokerage(the Houston hog hunt operator in question) is 99%. Well, how reliable is that?? Can that be manipulated?? And to what degree can it be manipulated??? ckbrokerage operate 2 duck hunting ranches and they just recently opened a hog hunt in their Houston area(Galveston actually) duck hunt ranch lease(??). Sorry for a long post. God Bless. larrysogla.

Larry,

I have never heard of them myself, but I don't do any pay to hunt pig hunts. Post or send what ever info you have on them and I'll check around with a couple of guys I know. If you say the also guide duck hunts then I might know some people that know of them.
