So since I don't work Fridays, I have been hittin tejon north side only side that is currently open as mush as possible, hit the ranch by 5am and usually hunt till noon or so. Went up this Friday not really knowing what to expect as far as weather since u never really know what to expect up there. It started snowing around 730am and didn't let p till about 8-9, i was in the beast (2007 dodge mega 3500 diesel on 40" s) since the wont let me bring the Polaris up there, and man was that fun. Hit about 4500ft elevation and the pigs were everywhere, I ran into a giant boar 300lbs class and tried to get a lil closer in the truck. Went p a side road that looked ok, only to find that it was blocked by a downed tree, so I dropped into reverse and the truck immediately started sliding rearwards towards a giant oak, I cranked the wheel as hard as I cld and barely missed it, when BANG.....I clipped the other tree, bumper and taillight are in my near future...oh well cld have been worse. Shld have been in 4low, lesson learned...so I continued for about 2 more hours and then watched the sun and the squirrels come out. So I pulled out the .17 and took out about 100, I took out so many that the golden eagles were comin down and grabbin them and flyin off to eat....another fun day at tejon...I'm buying a nice camera this week so I can post some pics of these hogs..if any of you are ever interested I'm takin a few guys up on my guest passes. Pm me!
