So what is the funniest piece of hunting gear or clothing that you have ever been given? After all the emotional content in the thread about Wanton Waste vs Bad Taste, I decided to lighten the mood. What made me think about this is in the pictue; my new blaze orange “Mad Bomber winter pig hunting hat" my loving wife just bought me when she was in Mammoth Lakes, CA. She found it at some fancy fur shoppe (it is fancy so it is spelled shoppe). It is lined with rabbit fur. You can see how thoughtful she is – must be why we have been married for 41 years. She thought it was a grand joke. I, on the other hand, think it’s brilliant. I'll be able to kill pigs without losing any meat - all I'll have to do is run out in front of them and when they saw me with their beady little eyes, they'd die laughing.... A bloodless kill. That is unless I die from heatstroke from wearing the damn thing.
So I want to hear about/see your most "off the wall" hunting gear or clothing. There have got to be some great items out there. And post a picture!
P.S. Of course, I’m not actually pig hunting in this picture; I’m stalking the ghost of our dead cat that haunts our house. I went to the F&G regs and found stuff about ghost shrimp and “ghost fishing traps” but nothing about ghost cats so I think I’m o.k. without a tag…
P.P.S I didn’t tell her about the hog blood in the back of her car last week – I must have done a good job cleaning as she hasn’t said anything about a smell.
