G&F COMMISSION MEETS FEB. 24-25 IN CASPER

CHEYENNE – The presentation of the final Gray Wolf Management Plan for approval highlights the Feb. 24-25 Game and Fish Commission meeting in Casper.
The commission will also hear the final report from the G&F Committee to Develop Recommendations on Adequate Compensation for Landowners for Grass Forage Consumed by Elk on Private Property.
The seven-member board will also:
§ Set 2003 black bear hunting seasons
§ Hear about new charges to use the state of Wyoming’s mainframe computers
§ Receive a donation from Safari Club International for a patrol cabin north of Gillette
§ Hear about sage grouse seasons, and
§ Act on 12 damage claims
At approximately 11:40 a.m. Feb. 25, public comments will be accepted on topics not on the agenda. Public comments on agenda items will be accepted following each presentation if time permits.
The meeting begins at 9:45 a.m. Feb. 24 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 25 at the G&F Casper Office, 3030 Energy Lane.
Damage claims dominate the agenda Feb. 24. The Gray Wolf Management Plan discussion begins at 9:20 a.m. Feb. 25. Anyone who would like a complete agenda or requires auxiliary aids to attend should call (307) 777-4501. The G&F supports the Americans with Disabilities Act.
