Ga. Lady Needs Hog Hunting Info.....

We (hubby, daughter & myself) have been drawn for the Ossabaw Island hog hunt in Georgia in Jan. We are REALLY excited about this hunt but.... we know nothing about the area, where to put up stands, where the best spots are, good tips on making this a trip to remember for all of us.
Not to mention bringing home some BIG HAWGS!!!!!
Any help would GREATLY be appreciated!

Congrats on your draw... I do not know the area so I cannot be of much help.. You might try posting this in the Georgia Forum and see if you get some response. There are a lot of folks from GA on this site.. Good luck!!

Welcome to the site and congrats on the draw. I can't help with any info other than how to find the Georgia forum. Here you go:

If you scroll down the main forums page past where you selected this (hog hunting) forum, you will see one named "State and Canadian provinces hunting". If you click that page you will see all the states listed.

I didnt know of such a forum. You should most likely do some scouting prior to the hunting dates. That would most likely be the best suggestion. Good luck.

Wish we could do some scouting, but we are driving down late in the evening. Someone told us we have to be at the site selection place VERY early (like 3:am!) to pick our spots. Then the hunt starts the next morning.
