Just got back from A16 ( Archery only in X9A) didn't get it done but saw some nice bucks up there. Good luck with the hunt. Keep us posted on how you do.

Good luck X9A is by far my favorite zone. I got my first buck out of there. I got a nice 3x3 and my buddy bagged a nice 3x4. On opening weekend 2009. Post pics of how you do.

I put in for X9B with 1 point and was drawn, I believe 3 points will generally draw a tag in X9A.

My son, a good friend and I were just drawn for a group hunt in X9a. We did a "Hail Mary" on the last day with zero points and got lucky! I really want to do this right. I am a relatively experienced deer hunter but have not hunted a migration before. I have time to scout ahead of season and am planning on dedicating at least 3 weeks to the hunting/scouting effort - maybe in two stretches, early and late season. I will also get a bear tag. I would like to hunt the area around Benton but will go anywhere in the zone. I would appreciate advice. Thanks very much.

JVC, I wouldn't call 9a a migration hunt.Best of luck!
Yeah I have to agree, X9A season is to early for the migration. But I do love me some X9A.I am going up this year, got lottery picked. One of the lucky 65.
