Going on first Elk hunt in Colorado, any tips on

Will be partaking on my first ever Elk Hunt in Colorado this late Sept. in the Gould area (state park) that borders up to the Rawah wilderness, more specifically the Montgomery Pass area. I have never even been to Colorado, so just being there will be a blast in itself. If any of you have ever been in this area and can offer any tips, I will be much appreciative.
