I'm getting ready to go hunt piggies at FHL and would like some recommendations for a good camo pattern to use there. (I've never been, so not sure of the conditions).

I understand that as seasons change the ideal pattern will change too. Perhaps someone can recommend a good all around pattern? Mind you most of my hunting will likely take place from fall to spring.

Thanks for any advice!

Advantage Max 1, Mossy oak break up, and Mossy oak brush are all pretty good patterns for the mixed grass and oak areas you will find at FHL. I'm sure other people have their favorites but those three cover most anything you would need there.

I'm partial to Natural Gear, head to toe, the Natural pattern. Seems to blend in during all seasons in CA and AZ.
Natural Gear - The Science of Camouflage - Science

I was able to walk upright to within 38 yds to a Tule elk at FHL before he noticed me. Even then, it was 10 mins before he got spooked. 'Course, the wind and sun was in my favor as well.

In my opinion and experience, it really doesnt matter what pattern you are wearing. I always hunt in steel toe boots, dickie jeans and a military issued vortex in jungle camo. I always hunt FHL in the same chlothes and I have been hunting their a long time for both deer and Pigs. During this time of year just make sure to have multiple layers and waterproof chlothes. Bring extra sox!! Save your money on buying chlothes and buy some more usefull hunting gear. Your scent is more important than your chlothes

My hunting partner and I like the marine digital pattern: great in our local area and would be fine at FHL too.
