When I was 11 years old I could sit on the cabin's porch and shot my .22 any direction I wanted without fear of hurting someone or their property.
You still can't see any homes from the porch, but theres a few of them nearby now. The chances of a .22 bullet going though all the brush and trees are almost nil; but "almost" ain't good enough. I need something my eleven year old grandson can put targets on that will stop or slow down a .22 bullet; and it has to be "pretty" for grandma. Doesn't need to be real big, as the grandson is not that bad of a shot, but I suppose bigger is better. My son says to just put a bale of straw hay out, even if the bullet goes through it will be slowed down enough to prevent it from reaching someone else's property(grandma thought that would look "hicky").
Went to a gun shop today, and they just kinda looked at me strange. Any ideas?
