I finally got my mount back from Eric at Artistic Wildlife Taxidermy in Anderson, CA. This is a pig I shot with North Powder Outfitters in June outside of Williams, CA. Not too bad...only a 7.5 month turn around time. I can't complain about that. I'm pretty happy with the mount too!

Very nice....question.

How much does something like that cost? I have yet to take a hog but would like to mount it when I do.

Well done !! Love the looks of that hog. For a longer lasting, better preserved mount, make sure you keep those blinds closed, and the vent pointed away from the mount. Nice trophy !!

Wild1...gotcha on the preservation of the mount. I grew up in a house full of game heads. The portion of the vent that points at the pig has already been blocked off and I can't ever remember those blinds open in the 3 years we've lived in this house. That's why he got put where he did.

baboltin...like I said in the start of the thread...the taxidermist is Eric at Artistic Wildlife Taxidermy in Anderson, CA (Redding area).

Deedy...thanks...I suppose I'll put in a whole bunch of years (like the rest of my life) without ever seeing another one like him. I guess I'll just have to keep trying though!
