Well i took a nice male on thursday of last week.:mooning: hit him just behind the right ear. and with the 300wsm pushing a 168gr round he never took a step. He was around 160lbs but perfect for the first ever pig. I wached this thing for around 30min befor i was able to get a shot off. And he was still out at 276 yards when i droped him. i payed 75$ for the butchering is that about right? i am happy with the resalts so no complaints about the butcher. well hunt hard if i can do it ne one can.

Head shot at 276 yards, nice shooting. That should be some fine table fare!

Congratulations on your 1st.

thanks it was a nice shot. i hunt mostly in wy so long shots are the norm. hit my first elk at 296 last year. but have taken antilope out to 400. just depends on what is going on. i shoot 4-6 times a month out to 600yards so 300 and under is very comfy. as far as population of hogs go. there may be more up that way then people think. just have to find them. have seen tons ( like 6) on privat property but the guy was not home to ask if can go shoot one. and that was from the road. hunt hard
