I think this is a young Great Horned Owl. His "horns" are wet and a little droopy.

Just my FZ-10
Funny, I was driving down a dirt road about 15 mph and passed this guy. Just as I got about 15' past him I realized what it was. I backed my truck up on the crunchy snow right up to him. Got out of the truck and took a bunch of pics from about 20' away. It was pretty, never been able to get that close to a bird of prey before.

Nice catch, I don't see many owls here in San Diego. I could take lots of pics of the hawks on the street lights though.

Awesome picture! I had an owl swoop down past me on evening coming out of the bow stand. Talk about sh%$^#$# your pants!!!!
