The Ha Ha Tonka Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation will hold its Second Annual Banquet on Sept. 27, 2003, at The Inn of the Grand Glaize in Osage Beach, Missouri 65065.

A membership with the Mule Deer Foundation is $25. Tickets to this event, which includes a two-entree buffet, silent auction, live auction, and various raffles, are just $45 for a single person, or $55 per couple. Each of these prices also includes the cost of one MDF membership. The price for the meal alone is $15.

Tickets will be sold at the door, but anyone who buys a ticket early will automatically be entered into the 'Early Bird Special' raffle in which the winner will receive $200 in raffle tickets and also be entered into a drawing for a $250 MDF sponsorship.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 27. Buy your tickets now by calling Kathy Etling at 573-348-2868, Doug Smentkowski at 573-636-0419, or Dick Ebling at 573-348-2259. Auction items and raffle prizes include framed Leon Parson and Al Agnew artwork, rifles, Native American jewelry, and hunting trips. During the dinner hour, well-known Missouri cowboy poet Gail Burton will recite a few of his sometimes humorous and often poignant poems of the West and of the realities of a cowboy's life.

A bloc of rooms has been made available to MDF attendees by the Inn of the Grand Glaize for the reduced rate of $67, double occupancy. To reserve a room call the Inn at 573-348-4731 and identify yourself as being with the MDF. The Inn is located on the banks of the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach on Highway 54, just west of the Grand Glaize Bridge.
