I hope it's okay that I put this post in! I am still working on the HAM SLAM video. It is coming along great. I was hopeing to get a list of all attendies, both website names and real names to add to the credits that scroll in the begining. Speck can you help me out with that? The responce for pics was great and the video could end up being 15 minutes long or even longer. I could still use some mpgs that were offered up. If anyone have scenic mpgs from other trips I could use them.

Thanks to all and I'll keep you posted of the progress

Bearmage,
I have produced a few videos and have worked thru many a glitch...
What kind of audio prob. are you having??? Did you "insert" any video or stills into the program???
I also have hundreds of still shots of the ranch if you need any to add to the video.
I used to paint a still shot to skroll my credits over.

Good Hunting and Good Luck on the Video,

Not sure what caused the audio glitch cause it is working now. The video is completed and the finished length is 11minutes 25 seconds.

Thanks for the offer of the stills of the ranch but I I've been working on this for a while and think I'll leave well enough alone. The Ranch is beautiful and I could look at stills all day and be in awww. I do wish to limit it to pics that were taken during the Ham Slam event.

the mpg file size is 115 MB. I was wondering if we could post it here somewhere so that everyone would have easy access. My program said it would take a little less than 6 minutes to download with a 56k modem.

Speck!!!!! I'd like to have you evaluate it first. Can I send it to you via e-mail? Sometimes my humor isn't the best and I put in a few funny things that you are a part of. Let me know.

Hey Bear,

If it's over 100 meg, my email won't accept it. That's a hefty file. If you want to shoot it over on CD, that would work.

You'd have to check with Jesse about putting something that large on the photo gallery, but that would be an appropriate place for it if we have the bandwidth. Likewise, I'd host it on my server, but I have a feeling that the bandwidth use would get me shut down pretty quick.

Okay Speck<
I sent you something via e-mail. and I can't leave well enough alone. I've made version #3 tonight that added 2 more MB and 4 more seconds. I'll send both versions and let you pick.

Keep in mind that I worked with what I had and next time I'll be taking more and better stuff with making the video in mind. This really is a blast.

After stressing over the cd lable, I am finally sending the proto type to speck for his evaluation. I spent a few days working on the cd lable and it turned out that the simple one was the best. I have to remember K.I.S.S. Playing with the video had me trying to much on the lable. Silly Me.

So depending on Speckmisser's review, the video will be ready for requests soon. All I ask is for postage I'll post that cost here in the forum.

Okay. the packaging cost $1.40 and postage was $.99 to send it to Speck. So it looks $2.40 will cover it. I'm hopeing Speck will post his review of JHO3-Ham Slam 2004 here in the next few days. It works in most newer dvd players. For those that don't have dvd players, I can also burn mpegs to be played on the computer.
