Seen this over on the Bowsite.

Is there any agreement on which species of porkers make up a Ham Slam. What are they?

Javelina (North America)

North American Feral Hog (Southern US)

Bush Pig (Africa)

Warthog (Africa)

I guess we may want to include a European Boar here also?

While Peccaries/javelina look similar to pigs, Peccaries are classified in a family of their own because of anatomical differences. They are members of the Tayassuidae Family while true pigs are members of the Suidae Family.

Wouldn't you have to include Rosey O'Donnell? She is closer to the swine family than a Javelina.

Personally I would want Javelinas on the list.  Also I think you would have to include the African Red River Hog and the Indonesian Babirusa.  This would be a true Ham Slam, I still have a few to go.
